4th Annual Texas Sawmill Festival

Event Description
We invite you to come to New Caney where you can visit the "Old Sawmill Town" and step back in time and experience East Montgomery County history. Craft vendors, food concessions, historical displays, quilt show, old timey pictures, live music on the grandstand outdoors, carnvial games, rock wall, petting zoo, and tournament competitions - sack races, bucket relays, water polo and more.

We are partnering with our local schools, library and fire departments for a fun filled day for our community.

The Community Chamber of Commerce is inviting local businesses, health care service providers, restaurants and caterers to participate in the Taste of East Montgomery County & Expo.

The event is being held Wednesday March 24^th between 4 and 7 pm at the Yellow Rose Reception Hall in New Caney.

The Community Chamber of Commerce holds their Annual Banquet on the second Saturday in January.  The Chamber takes this opportunity to salute Hometown Heroes, Volunteer of the Year, Board Member of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Large Business of the Year and the Chair’s Key Person.  Social Hour at 6:00 p.m. Dinner at 7:00 p.m.

This the 2010 Banquet is on January 9th at the Yellow Rose Reception Hall.

Taste of East Montgomery County

The Taste of EMC is held each March on the fourth Wednesday.  Come out and taste the best dishes served up by local Restaurants, Caterers, Chefs and Home-cooks. 

Stroll among the booths and sample a variety of food & beverage offerings. Local Restaurants, Caterers and Home-Cooks will tempt your taste buds with their favorite menu items & recipes.
Bring the family, the kids, your church, staff, customers and neighbors. We hope you enjoy our ‘Taste of EMC'!
